Frequently asked questions about LipSense®
To get the maximum benefit from LipSense® liquid lip color and moisturizing gloss please follow the application instructions. You will find in a few days the application will become second nature and you'll be more than pleased with the results.
1. Can I combine Lipsense® colors?
Yes, definitely. This is one of the unique features of LipSense®. One of the benefits of the three-step application process is you can apply a combination of colors to achieve a custom color.
TIP: By purchasing a single color and a highlighter color ( Beige Champagne,for example,) you actually can come up with five beautiful different colors.
Colors 1 & 2) Use the single color or the highlighter on all three layers. Color 3) Using the single or darker color as the first and second layer, highlighter as the last layer. Color 4) Using the darker color as the first layer and the highlighter as the second and third layer. Color 5) Use the darker color on the first layer, highlighter in the middle and darker color as the last layer.
2. Not all customers feel a tingling sensation when first applying
the LipSense® liquid lip color, however some do. Why?
If you have dry chapped lips you may feel a tingling sensation. After 2-3 days of conditioning your lips with our rich moisturizing gloss should alleviate the dryness. The tingling sensation should cease after you have applied the moisturizing gloss. Do not apply the lip color to broken skin.
TIP: Apply the moisturizing gloss to your lips before going to bed. This allows the gloss all night to moisturize your lips. In a few days your dry and chapped lips will be a thing of the past.
3. Is LipSense® approved by the FDA?
Approval starts at the raw material level. All raw materials in LipSense® products are approved by the FDA. Also, LipSense® is manufactured in an FDA approved manufacturing facility.
4. Have animal testing methods been used while developing LipSense®?
SeneGence International, Inc. does not use animal testing on any of its products.
5. After each LipSense® application, how long can I expect the product to last on my lips?
For best results, after applying three coats and the Moisturizing Gloss, and adding gloss during the day whenever your lips dry out, the liquid lip color can be expected to last from 4 to 18 hours.
The length of time is dependent on your body chemistry, it may also be affected by medications and alcohol intake.
6. How long will one tube of LipSense® liquid lip color last?
If you used the same color everyday, one color tube should last up to three months.
7. Why do I need a whole set of LipSense® liquid lip color, moisturizing gloss and OOOPS! Remover?
The moisturizing gloss protects the integrity of the color as well as moisturizing the lips. The gloss must be reapplied as it wears off. The OOOPS! Remover is recommended to use in removing that occasional slip or misapplication of the lip colors.
8. May I buy more than one LipSense® liquid lip color and an extra moisturizing gloss without having to purchase a complete set again?
Yes, absolutely. Your first purchase should include the entire set. Additional purchases of lip color or lip gloss are up to you.
9. What do I do if I accidentally spill some of the LipSense® liquid lip color on my clothing?
It’s been our experience that most of the LipSense® liquid lip color can be removed from clothing with dry cleaning fluid. Take the garment to your dry cleaners or purchase a small amount of dry cleaning fluid. Important: First test the garment in an inconspicuous area to ensure the dry cleaning fluid does not cause harm to the garment.
